| Brent L. Ander, photographer and artist has traveled the world with a camera always at the ready. With a formal education in fine art, he sees with an artist's eye which reflects in his photography of the landscape, nature and our environment. Utilizing elements of shape, light and color he seeks to capture that "just right" image. |
| Having lived in Florida, Pennsylvania, Colorado, New Mexico, New Jersey and most recently Maine, Brent's photography gallery has a collection of images of great diversity. This photography gallery has been broken up into several categories: |
| The West: This category covers much of the Colorado Rockies where Brent resided for more than fifteen years. From mountain peaks to lustrous streams and valleys he hiked and traveled where few have dared to tread, often risking life and limb to capture the desired image. He has run his kayak through the Gates of Lador in Utah and the raging Colorado River in search of the next marvel to capture for posterity. Using Colorado as a center point, he traveled throughout the West photographing the splendor and majesty found there. |
| Maine: For more than ten years, Brent L. Ander has lived along the coast of Downeast Maine near Bar Harbor. He spends a great deal of time wandering the rocky shore or paddling the many rivers and lakes. From lighthouses overlooking wave pounded rocks, to the occasional moose or loon, Brent has photographed them for stock or print exhibitions. |
| Roaming: This is more of a travel photography section dedicated to the many locations Brent has visited around the world. Most of the more recent images are from Atlantic Canada and Europe. Featured are photography of landscapes around the globe. |
A Closer Look: Brent is a student of the natural form and enjoys studying the textures and contrasts of objects. Sometimes people step past the most beautiful things without ever noticing them. This category is designed to show a few of these in the hope that others will see the beauty as well. |
Floral: Flowers and more flowers. We're talking Maine here. . . gardens abound. Between the Ander gardens and those of neighboring Maine gardeners and garden sites, there is a wealth of subjects for the close-up lens. Wherever his travels take him, Brent usually visits the local gardens in search of floral beauty. |
